Staying Healthy While Keeping Eye on Home Computers

There are many reasons why a person for hours sitting in front of the monitor, but for some reason was at work and browsing for information, the most frequent activity was playing games and had social networks like Facebook and Twitter.

Many negative effects of too long in front of the monitor, especially for eye problems. By constantly being in front of the computer and looked at the monitor screen, the complaint after complaint began to appear. And if this is not resolved will greatly endanger the user's eyes.

Here's how to keep your eyes remain healthy despite long hours in front of the computer:


1. Keep your distance between the eyes with the monitor.
The recommended distance is about 50-100 cm, and if the threshold we are still experiencing difficulties in reading, the font size should be enlarged so that we feel comfortable.

2. Replace the CRD with LCD monitor
The use of CRD monitor (old monitor) should be replaced with an LCD. It may also be added to screen anti-glare or anti-radiation glasses (especially for users whose eyes are minus or cylinder)

3. Adjust monitor settings

Some monitors are now many provide pre-set display mode to allow users to change their screen setting. Pre-set these settings to give a different level of brightnes, to adjust the conditions of use of the monitor.

4. Use adequate lighting
Room lighting when using the computer must be so arranged, that is not too dim and not too too much glare, set as comfortable as possible.

5. Allow time for the eye to rest

Vision that is directed to a computer screen continuously can cause eye become tired and strained, which eventually became sore and watery eyes. For that, give your eyes time to rest. You do this by resting the eyes of five minutes every hour. You can leave your monitor for a moment, or looked the other way other than your monitor.
